Last spring (doesn’t it seem so long ago already?) I had the pleasure of capturing the stylish engagement shoot of Hayley and Richie ahead of their Oddfellows wedding just 2 weeks later in the historic walled Roman city of Chester, a favourite UK city of mine, second to Bath. They loved the idea of a stylish city vibe for their e-shoot which I captured on May 18th 2017.

Hayley looked stunning in her baby blue off the shoulder top and her camel coloured heels. They chose Chester River for their e-shoot location and I could see straight away the sweet chemistry this pair shared as we enjoyed a walk along the river chatting about their romantic Paris proposal, their little baby girl Ava and their up and coming nuptials.

Ahh their sweet smiles were infectious! It was a true pleasure to spend this time with them both ahead of their big day.

There was hardly a soul in sight, which was perfect! I always suggest my couples choose a location that’s special to them and that they feel comfortable at and although Chester is a busy city, we were fortunate to have chosen a week day evening that was perfect for us to enjoy the session.

I think this one has to be my favourite…

3 Top Tips For Your Engagement Shoot:

• I normally suggest booking in your session 2-4 months in advance to avoid stress.
• Sometimes my couples choose two locations for their e-shoot. A general rule of thumb is the more locations and outfits, the less images, but the more variety you’ll have!
• Last but not least… Relax! You don’t have to be a pro at this! I’m going to help you along the way and it’s going to be fun! Enjoy this time together, and make a date out of it! Plan dinner afterwards and celebrate!!
