A Friends addicted, David Austin rose obsessed, thirty something wanderluster, located between France and the UK but capturing weddings internationally for my fun loving couples!
I have a passion for creating emotion filled, romantic images which have a clean, classic feel to them.
Taking pictures to me is so much more than just a click of the shutter, it's telling a story and documenting the moments that pass by in a blink of an eye.
Most of my clients describe me as friendly, enthusiastic, kind and relaxed (I do have the best clients though!!).
On a wedding day I’m there to capture all those important moments, a Daddy’s reaction to seeing his little girl for the first time in her breathtaking dress, my couples first kiss as husband and wife and those wonderful, funny, emotional speeches (sometimes it's hard not to cry too, I know, I know) while also paying great attention to the tiny details otherwise forgotten in years to come.
I’m also Mummy to Rose and wife to Si and here you’ll find a little bit more about me; the photographer behind the lens and why I love what I do. You’ll also find a few pictures of my little Rose.
Capturing memories is everything to me, when our little girl was born this only amplified my desire to preserve our moments together.
Those first few days with Rose will forever be engraved in my memory but I do know that those memories will fade with time as sad as that makes me. I know in time the little details I'll forget so I take pictures, write her letters, fill out memory books and create albums. It's how we can keep those memories fresh in our minds and re-live them whenever we choose. I can't wait to show Rose in years to come all the things we got up to when she was little.
Our lives, these moments that take our breath away, they’re too precious not to capture and cherish. That's why I believe wedding photography is so important, it's really one of the only things that lasts beyond your wedding day. I can't wait to share our day with Rose one day, I know she'll love seeing her Mummy and Daddy on their big day and all our special family and friends who where there with us including her Great Gramps who she sadly never got to meet.
I’m happiest when capturing dreamy light filled images for my sweet couples, exploring the world or simply curled up in front of a roaring fire with a good book and a Jo Malone candle burning away… BLISS!
I’m also blessed to have had my photography featured on award winning wedding blogs such as… Bridal Musings, Love My Dress, Rock My Wedding, French Wedding Style, Wedding Chicks, B.LOVED and Coco Wedding Venues. My work has even been featured in the beautiful book Seasons of Yes by Laendle Weddings.
MY Favourite Things...
I’m happiest when capturing dreamy light filled images for my sweet couples to treasure forever, spending time with my little girl Rose (being her Mummy is the best experience of my life so far!!) and exploring the world with my little family… best travel memory so far - riding pedal bikes all around Paris with my hubby!
I’m also blessed to have had my photography featured in Wedding Ideas Magazine, Harper's Bazaar Magazine and on award winning wedding blogs such as… Bridal Musings, Love My Dress, Carats & Cake, Rock My Wedding, French Wedding Style, Wedding Chicks, B.LOVED and Coco Wedding Venues. My work has even been featured in the beautiful book Seasons of Yes by Laendle Weddings.
When I was just 22 years old I stepped outside the large gates of a very run down French Manor house and my heart was taken instantly even though I knew it could probably never be mine. I can remember what it felt like… it was a cold November day but it was even colder inside this abandoned house.
With nothing inside it but the odd sink it blew me away, mainly the staircase if I’m honest… this was to be one of the many visits to this old, forgotten piece of French history...
When I need encouragement he's right behind me whispering in my ear, when I'm tired and ready to give in his dedication keeps me going, when I need a hug he's there in a heartbeat (he's also a very helpful stand in groom model when I need to practice my posing skills).
Life is complex, wonderful, exciting but not without its difficulties but love and this funny guy make it all worthwhile! Thank you Mr B.
I love to explore new places, be that when I’m in a new area for a destination wedding or just exploring the area around my home in the Vendee, France.
Strolling through the streets discovering all that France has to offer with my camera in hand is one of my favourite pastimes, so today I’m taking you on a little tour of a beach resort I visited recently…
I'm a huge foodie much to the disappointment of my waistline! Recently I had the pleasure of visiting one of my favourite restaurants in France, Le Stofflet at Chateau Colbert, Maulévrier.
The sophisticated fine-dining restaurant has period features throughout adding beautifully to your experience. You have to see it to believe it...
