The elegant Northbrook Park winter wedding of Julie and Reece took place on January 7th 2017. They enjoyed a beautifully relaxed day full of love and laughter with their closest family and friends in the picturesque Surrey countryside.
Their entire day was all about the love these two share not only between themselves but with all their family and friends, some who had even travelled from afar to be there to celebrate with them. You could feel the warmth in the room and witness it on all the beaming faces. Julie has one of those smiles, the kind that lights up the room and her hugs are truly meant (witnessing Julie greet their guests into dinner was truly the most honest and love filled receiving line I have ever witnessed).
Not only was their wedding day so very special but the way they met was pretty unique too. When Julie was a young successful swimmer she met her friend Mackenzie (Reece’s sister), the girls knew each other for many years but would you believe it Julie never actually met Reece until many years later on a train ride (a train ride that would change the course of their life forever) amazing right?!
That winter Saturday morning was quite a foggy one to say the least but their beautiful wedding venue still looked stunning. Around every corner at Northbrook Park you’ll find such beauty and this was January, I can only imagine how stunning the grounds must be in spring and summer!
Julie wore a beautiful dusky pink strapless wedding gown which she had chose with her mother just months before. To complete her outfit she wore a pair of sparkly heels and a spritz of her signature scent Coco Mademoiselle (my favourite which reminds me of my own wedding day).
Julie and her girls got ready in one of Northbrook Park Mews’ eco-cottages, the room was filled with happy chatter, excitement and so much love. It was a pleasure to witness the girls getting ready and enjoying every second of the morning preparations.
Reece and his best-man looked very dapper in their Moss Bros suits. Julie had gifted Reece with a pocket watch on the morning of the wedding which was the perfect addition to his outfit.
Julie and Reece said “I Do” in the light filled Vine Room of Northbrook Park in front of all their friends and family, it was a touching ceremony with just the right amount of humour injected including the reading of The Owl and The Pussy Cat.
After their ceremony we wondered off together for some beautiful couple portraits and a chance for J&R to enjoy a few moments together as the brand new Mr and Mrs Howe! They radiate happiness don’t you think?
Oh this doorway – the perfect frame for a gorgeous romantic portrait!
The celebrations continued with canapes outside, we were so lucky the rain held off all day and the temperature was even 10 degrees warmer than the day before, when you really couldn’t feel your fingers.
The evening commenced with a delicious wedding breakfast by White Truffle Events and hilarious speeches from so many of Julie and Reece’s wedding guests. It was a joy to capture the emotions of everyone from tears to laughter.
Congratulations and thank you so much for trusting me to capture your most precious memories Julie and Reece. I wish you a life time of happiness together and I’m so pleased you enjoyed your fabulous honeymoon in Norway and that you witnessed the breathtaking northern lights together, what a fabulous way to kick off married life! (thanks for sharing a few pictures with me from your trip).
Julie – “Oh my goodness. We do look happy don’t we! Thank you so so much for sending these through! They’re beautiful. I’m actually crying!! Thank you xx”
I loved capturing this elegant Northbrook Park winter wedding and hope to capture more weddings in the Surrey countryside soon. Are you planning your wedding at Northbrook Park, if so I’d love to hear from you!
With love,
